Transfer Quote

The before-the-send question. Give a USDC amount + recipient address, get the live cost of the send in USD: #48's on-chain-measured USDC-Transfer gas units × live eth_gasPrice × live ETH-USD — pinned to the block it was read at. Keyless public RPCs, computed per call.

Pinned quote — 1.0 USDC → the fleet's payTo (replayed from the committed fixture)

Method. Gas units are not an estimate: 62171 is the median gasUsed of 5 real Base USDC Transfer receipts, measured on-chain and pinned by #48 evm-gas (evidence block 52808339, pinned 2026-10-19). Gas price is live eth_gasPrice (what a caller setting gasPrice actually pays); ETH-USD is live CoinGecko, pinned with its own timestamp. cost_usd = gas_units × gas_price × ETH-USD, exact integer/Decimal math, pinned to the eth_getBlockByNumber head. The module refuses (exit 4) a bad amount, a bad or wrong-checksum recipient (EIP-55 via vendored pure-python keccak, vector-gated), a wrong chain id, a codeless USDC contract, or a missing price — a quote that cannot be established is never guessed. check_txquote.py: S1 primitive vectors, P1 hand re-derivation of the pinned replay, N1–N7 poisons (each trips its own bar), L1–L6 live independent re-derivation.
